What's an Anglican?

Anglican Christianity has its roots in the ancient faith and practice of the first century church. Although originally meaning “The English Church” the Anglican church has always been driven by a missionary focus causing it to preach the Gospel and plant churches throughout the world.
For more than five centuries, the Anglican church has been reaching people with the Gospel and making disciples. Now with over 75 million members it has become a global church with congregations on every continent.
A dedication to the Word of God, an intimate worship experience and ancient but relevant faith are all important parts of our Anglican heritage.
We embrace a living liturgy: sacraments given to us by Jesus himself: baptism & communion.
With over 75 million members, when you become an Anglican, ...you become part of a worldwide family of churches!
